A network
born from purpose.

Raised in Los Angeles from the age of three, I have always felt a deep connection to the Iranian acculturation and assimilation experience. From an early age, I used my writing to publish articles addressing the challenges facing my community. At eighteen, I hosted Generation 2000, a nationwide bilingual (Farsi and English) radio show exploring the issues facing Iranian Americans. I went on to earn a degree in sociology and build a career as a TV producer, working across news programs, talk shows, and news magazines.

For years I have led and organized, bringing women together in living rooms, at long tables, and across screens. My belief is simple: leadership is service, and service is the act of making space for others to rise.

Before IWN, I founded the Brentwood Iranian Women's Network — a group of eclectic, intellectual high bandwidth group of Iranian moms in Los Angeles. What started as intimate gatherings quickly became something larger than ourselves: a catalyst, a proof of concept, and an invitation.

Women told me they had been waiting their entire lives for a room like this. That is when I knew the work could not stay local. The Iranian Women's Network was born to carry that same intimacy and intention to Iranian women across Los Angeles.

Our purpose is to raise the frequency and vibration of Iranian women — to build a safe space where we share, grow, learn, network, connect, and elevate. We honor the women who came before us, support the women beside us, and clear the path for the women coming next.
